2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is an all-new take on a nameplate that has sold more than 500,000 units in Canada. Its e-POWER powertrain is the biggest change: a turbocharged gasoline engine charges a battery, and electric motors front and rear drive all four wheels. Total system output is 225 horsepower, and dual-motor all-wheel drive is standard on every version. Nissan's internal testing puts the SR at 5.9 L/100 km in the city. Inside, buyers find up to two 14.3-inch displays, physical climate buttons and family details such as five rear LATCH anchors. Calgary drivers moving between Stoney Trail and Macleod Trail get electric-motor response without ever looking for a charging station. The first SR models are scheduled to reach Fish Creek Nissan in fall 2026 in limited quantities, followed by SV, SV Premium and Platinum in early 2027.
What's new on the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid?
Exterior
Japanese heritage shapes much of the new design. The running lamps on equipped models use a two-three layout, a reference to ni and san, and the C-pillar sweeps upward to form a triangle inspired by Mount Fuji, complete with a small cloud motif behind the glass. Up front, the geometric fascia pairs a hexagonal honeycomb grille with integrated LED headlights. The overall stance is wide and athletic, and Nissan's designers deliberately avoided chrome, choosing flush details instead. On SR, a unique front fascia and gloss black accents give the look a sportier edge.
Ground clearance reaches 215 mm (8.5 in) on SR and Platinum and 214 mm (8.4 in) on SV, with approach and departure angles of 19.5 and 24.1 degrees. Wheels measure 18 inches on SV and 19 inches on SR and Platinum, with machined surfaces that play with light and shadow. Gloss black roof rails and a power panoramic moonroof are standard on SR and Platinum and available on SV. Out back, available full-width LED tail lights show a pattern that grows from the centre outward. Horizon Blue Pearl Metallic leads the three new colours.
Interior
The cabin feels airy, with abundant soft-touch materials and stitching. Physical buttons control cabin temperature, fan speed, airflow and seat heating, and conventional stalks run the signals and wipers. Piano black is used sparingly, and high-touch zones get durable matte finishes. Drivers see a fully digital instrument cluster of 12.3 inches on SV or 14.3 inches on SR and Platinum, and Platinum adds a head-up display. Storage includes an enlarged under-console compartment between the front seats, a glove box, an overhead sunglass holder and door bottle holders in both rows.
Zero Gravity seats are standard in the front and rear outboard positions, built to support natural posture over long distances. Ventilated front seats arrive in a Rogue for the first time, on the Platinum grade, along with heated rear seats. Rear passengers have 920 mm of legroom and a reclining 60/40 seatback. The cargo area offers 880.7 L behind the rear seats and 1,866.1 L with them folded, enough room for gear on a day trip west toward Kananaskis. Rogue's familiar milk jug holder behind the passenger-side wheel well stays, and a luggage floorboard with a lower position helps keep loose items from rolling out.
Technology
Entertainment
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto run on the standard 12.3-inch touchscreen. The SR and Platinum feature a 14.3-inch screen with Google built-in, giving access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, the Play Store and Google Gemini, along with SiriusXM with 360L. Nissan's 15-watt Qi2 magnetic wireless charger is available, and Platinum doubles it up. Remote Engine Start with Intelligent Climate Control comes on every trim. Platinum adds a 10-speaker Bose Premium Audio system with a dual-driver subwoofer.
Safety
ProPILOT Assist is standard and has been reworked with a new front radar, a wider-view front camera and updated software. Intelligent Cruise Control has four following-distance settings and responds to slowing traffic 33% sooner than before, with 11% quicker low-speed acceleration. SR and Platinum add Hands-off Traffic Jam Support and Auto Lane Change, which operates on divided highways between 60 and 137 km/h. Standard safety also includes Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Lane Departure Warning and Intelligent Driver Alertness. SR and Platinum include ProPILOT Emergency Stop with e-call and Rear Automatic Braking.
Powertrain
Drive comes from a 202-horsepower front motor with 243 lb-ft of torque and a 134-horsepower rear motor with 144 lb-ft. Combined system output is 225 horsepower. Standard all-wheel drive shifts torque between the axles as conditions change, and it can brake an inside wheel lightly to sharpen cornering. A six-position drive mode selector includes Snow and Off-Road settings, and Hill Start Assist is standard. The e-Pedal feature allows one-pedal stops, while Smooth Stop reduces head toss in traffic. When properly equipped, the Rogue Hybrid can tow 680 kg (1,500 lbs), with a 68 kg (150 lbs) tongue weight.
